Foreign gifts go to a separate account
Indian law requires it, and we would rather explain why than quietly take your money into the wrong one.
Mahima Ministries is registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, number 010220236. That Act allows an organisation to receive foreign contribution into one designated account only — ours is at the State Bank of India’s FCRA branch in New Delhi.
Our card payment page settles into our ordinary Indian account, so we do not offer it to donors abroad. A transfer to the account below is the correct route, and it is the way our foreign supporters already give.

A wire arrives with a bank reference and little else. If you let us know your name, your country and the amount before or just after you send it, we can thank you properly and record your gift correctly in the return we file with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Without that, the money arrives from a stranger.

Our 80G exemption is an Indian one and can only be claimed by an Indian taxpayer. If you pay tax elsewhere it will not help you, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Every audited statement of account since 2005–06 is on our reports page, exactly as the auditor signed it. Read them before you give.
