Keep Mahima Ministries Running

Almost every gift we receive is for something you can picture — a meal, a school year, a month of care. We are grateful for all of it. But an organisation is also made of the things nobody sponsors: the staff who look after 140 elderly residents day and night, the electricity and water, the medicines, the vehicle that takes a resident to hospital, the repairs, and the paperwork that keeps us compliant with 80G and FCRA. All of it together comes to about ₹4,50,000 a month. This is the appeal for that — the least photogenic and most necessary thing we ask for.

Corporate Partnerships (CSR)

We are CSR registered (CSR00009553), hold 80G (HYDM09564C) and FCRA (010220236), and we publish what we spend and what it paid for. In 2016 a company built our children an eight-thousand-square-foot home at Ameenpur and came back eight years later with medicines — that is the kind of partnership we are asking for, and we can show you what it produced. We will report against whatever you fund, with the receipts, on whatever schedule your board needs.

Elder Care and Welfare

Food is only part of caring for 70 elderly residents. Blood pressure and diabetes medicines, soap and hygiene supplies, four sets of clothing a year, and physiotherapy for those who can no longer walk unaided come to about Rs 1,517 per resident each month. None of our residents receives a pension, and most have no family to turn to.

Meals for Everyone at Ameenpur

We put 433 meals on the table every single day — for the 70 elderly residents in our care, the 100 children who eat breakfast and lunch with us during school hours, and 50 more children in the evening who would otherwise go without. Feeding them costs ₹4,23,600 a month. That is not the price of ingredients: ₹2,69,303 of it is groceries, and the rest is the cooking gas, the vegetables and the wages of the person who cooks. Nobody eats rice that has not been cooked.
